Have you ever wondered whether the life of a nun, monk, sister, priest or brother might just be for you? COMPASS is a discernment programme that enables you to hear the call of Christ in your life.
Starting in October, Compass will take place in Milleret House, London, with the Easter Triduum at Worth Abbey in West Sussex. For more information and for the dates of the programme, please visit www.compass-points.org.uk. If you would like to take part in the 2017-18 programme please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
A year of vocational discernment living within a religious community
The purpose: is to give men, aged 20-36 years, a year (September – July) where they can learn about priesthood and the various forms of religious life, and come to some conclusion about where God may be calling them. It is for men who are aware of God’s calling but are not sure how specifically to respond, or who need some time for personal or academic development.
If you’re aged between 13 and 29 and living in England or Wales, the Catholic Church would love to hear what you have to say about your life, faith and vocational discernment. All you have to do is fill out a survey, which will take 15-20 minutes, and what you have to say will be sent to the Vatican in preparation for a gathering led by Pope Francis next year.
Please click here to be taken to the survey, where you can also watch a trailer for the poll.
Do you work with young people?
We would also like to hear from those who work or care for young people aged between 13-29. If this applies to you please click here to be taken to this survey.
On Songs of Praise on Sunday, Josie d’Arby talks to some nuns at Holy Cross Abbey in Pembrokeshire, and hears how they dedicate themselves to life in a closed community. Please click here to watch the episode.
